I couldn’t leave my daughter for three years, but I am divorced and she lives with her father half of the time, and that time has given me the life I needed and wanted, a full life in which I write and teach, date and don’t date, see my friends, ride my bike, and sometimes do whatever I please, which is quite often NOTHING.
